Despite the unsettled meteorological situation, the Nashville area posted its best February home sales since 2007.
There were 2,091 home closings in February, according to the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, a jump of 12.6 percent from the same month last year. Year-to-date, closings are up 12.7 percent.

Housing market research firm CoreLogic says Nashville-area home prices were up 6.8 percent in January from a year earlier. That’s down 0.9 percentage points from October and 1.3 points from July.
