Nashville-area home sales are up 12.2 percent over 2014, according to closings data released on Tuesday by the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.

There were 17,206 closings through June compared with 15,336 during the same period last year. That made for the best June sales numbers in a decade.

The data showed another strong sales month in June, when there were 3,804 closings compared with 3,324 a year ago. That’s a 14.4 percent increase.
