Zoning for downtown Franklin’s first hotel project now moves to a third and final vote, before heading to the city’s Historic Zoning Commission’s Design Review Committee, after aldermen unanimously passed the $80 million mixed-used redevelopment plan last night. 

A long public hearing prior to the vote, specifically on the rezoning and the applicants’ request for a few modifications of regulatory requirements, drew both criticism and support from residents.
