There’s been lots of talk locally about the rate of tear-downs in Nashville as the city’s population swells, but a new show on HGTV will highlight the charm of the city’s smaller historic homes.

That is, if a whole season gets green-lighted.

The pilot episode of “Nashville Flipped,” which follows Nashville-based home-flipper Troy Dean Shafer, aired Saturday on HGTV and pulled in a 0.3 in ratings, according to TV by the Numbers. That may seem low (to compare, ABC’s “Nashville” averaged about a 1.47 in ratings last season and was in constant danger of being canceled), but it’s in line with the cable network’s other Saturday airings.
