Giarratana raises $60M for 505 tower, releases renderings

Developer Tony Giarratana has raised the $60 million of equity needed for 505, the 45-story high-rise with 500 multifamily units he plans at Fifth and Church.

Giarratana is focused on securing a $90 million construction loan, which when obtained would complete the financing package for the estimated $150 million project.

Mortgage rates head back toward record lows

Long-term borrowing costs took another turn lower this week, following a decline in 10-year Treasury yields.

Freddie Mac (OTC:FMCC) says the average rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage fell to 3.69 percent in the week ending March 26, down from 3.78 percent last week. A year ago, 30-year rates averaged 4.4 percent.
